For the past few months, LTI, Inc. Sunnyside drivers have been hauling wine for Gruet Sparkling Wines at the Willow Crest Winery in Prosser, WA to the company’s winery in Albuquerque, NM. LTI, Inc. is hauling 6,400-gallon loads of wine up to 12 times a week during harvest. According to LTI, Inc. Dispatcher Greg Masset, if needed, LTI, Inc. can carry even more.

"Our lightweight trailers allow us to haul 250 to 350 gallons more than our competitors," he says. LTI, Inc. also hauls wine for Precept Wines, Ste. Michelle and others. Drivers for the Albuquerque project include Scott Scherzinger, Jose Gonzalez, Brandon Call, Daniel Meza, Alejandro Sanchez, Lupe Bustamante, Pablo Valdes-Medina, Jose Rivera, Mark Nickerson and Zach Uptain.

LTI, Inc. has seen an uptick in wine business to Canada recently. "We have been transporting wine to Canada for many years," Greg explains, "but this year we have seen an almost 500 percent increase in trips north." Due to a difficult winter and the loss of vineyards, the Canadian wine industry is importing more wine from the U.S. LTI, Inc. drivers pick up at wineries throughout central and eastern Washington for delivery to Vancouver, Kelowna and other Canadian locations.
