Alaska West Express was recognized by the National Tank Truck Carriers Association (NTTC) during its annual conference as Grand Award Winner in the For-Hire Carrier Class 8 Category. This is the second time Alaska West Express has won this award; it also earned the honor in 2018. Carriers are evaluated in nine separate categories such as driver training, worker safety, accident/incident response and vehicle and tank inspection. "It is such an honor to be recognized by the NTTC," says Tyler Bones, Alaska West Express Director of HSSE. "It's a testament to the quality of employees and independent contractors that are on our team. The tank truck industry is one of the safest segments of the trucking industry, which makes being recognized for this award that much more significant."
