Lynden Transport Operations Assistant Mike Gaiser participated in a PIC-A-Truck event last month giving kids a chance to climb into the cab of a Lynden truck. The free community event was organized by Amy Simpson, Executive Director at Programs for Infants and Children (PIC) in Anchorage. “We are a local nonprofit providing services to infants and toddlers who experience developmental delays or disabilities,” Amy says. “The event showcased trucks of all kinds and sizes for kids to see and explore up close. Kids see trucks from far away and don’t often get the sensory opportunity to touch them and sit in the seat. We appreciate Lynden’s involvement.” Mike says it was a great event, and he enjoyed watching the reactions of kids and parents seeing a tractor-trailer for the first time. “The kids liked the sleeper, and the horn was a big hit.”
