At the Lynden Sales Conference in Anchorage, a panel of industry leaders spoke to the Lynden group about issues facing Alaska. Moderated by Chairman Jim Jansen, the panel included Kara Moriarty, President and CEO, Alaska Oil & Gas Association; Rebecca Logan, CEO, Alaska Alliance; Deantha Skibinski, Executive Director, Alaska Miners Association; Jamie Benson, President and CEO, Alaska Trucking Association; and Kati Capozzi, President and CEO, Alaska Chamber.

"I was pleasantly surprised to see five trailblazing women who have risen to prominence in fields traditionally populated by men," says Elodie Jollet-Gergov, Lynden Logistics Director of International Operations. "All of them not only possessed extensive knowledge and experience of the industry they represented in Alaska, but also demonstrated remarkable drive, grit and leadership skills. I hope their presence and stories ignited a spark of hope and empowerment for all female attendees, inspiring them to pursue their ambitions with renewed determination. I know it did for me."

Joan Nacino, Pricing/Business Analyst with Alaska Marine Lines, says she was impressed to hear how the panel members are leading the charge to ensure economic opportunities for Alaska and promoting the Labor and Work Force Development program to make youth aware of jobs within the state. "The nurturing and collaborative traits of these women make them well-suited for the roles they fill. They are great examples for Lynden’s emerging professional women that they can be leaders, too."
