The El Protector Program safety event took place at LTI, Inc.’s Sunnyside Service Center and teamed Lynden with the Washington State Patrol in an educational effort to reduce traffic fatalities. The event included presentations from Washington State Patrol Trooper Daniel Mosqueda and Washington State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Mireya Antunez. More than 70 drivers, mechanics, driver trainers and others learned about commercial vehicle traffic safety and compliance. Participants left the event with helpful tools to improve their safety and the safety of other motorists on the roads they travel.
"The event was a success with better-than-expected attendance with many voicing lessons learned along with how they planned to share those lessons with others," says Kyle Hutchinson, Director of HSSE and Compliance for LTI, Inc. "The event also highlights Lynden’s commitment to partnering with the law enforcement and regulatory community to ensure safer roads for all."
