In response to the recent storms and flooding that have devastated communities along Alaska’s western coast, local Alaska air cargo carriers have come together to provide critical transportation support for relief efforts.
Alaska Air Cargo, Everts Air Cargo, Grant Aviation, Lynden Air Cargo, Northern Air Cargo, and Ryan Air are collaborating to fly donated supplies between Anchorage and Bethel, where local relief organizations will coordinate and distribute the goods to affected residents.
How You Can Help
Community members who wish to contribute can drop off donated supplies at designated collection sites:
- GCI retail stores in Anchorage (C Street, Dimond Center, East, Abbott), Wasilla, and Fairbanks through October 27th.
- Alaska Federation of Natives convention at the Dena’ina Center, 2nd floor, in Anchorage on October 17th and 18th (please check ahead for specific donation hours)
Please ensure all donations are packed in boxes or totes so they can be easily stacked and shipped. To help streamline logistics, please do not bring donations directly to airline facilities or cargo terminals. All donations must be delivered to the approved collection sites listed above.
Requested supplies currently include:

Together, we can help ensure essential supplies reach those who need them most across Western Alaska.
If out of the area:
For those outside the Anchorage and Fairbanks area, cash is the most effective way to donate. Cash donations are being accepted through the Alaska Community Foundation’s Western Alaska Disaster Relief Fund. The American Red Cross of Alaska and the Salvation Army Alaska Division are also responding to disaster response and are also open for donation support.
