We are looking for motivated, talented, and career-oriented individuals in a variety of positions.
Earlier this year, Lynden worked with the University of Alaska in both Anchorage (UAA) and Fairbanks (UAF) to set up two separate scholarship funds to help cover cost of tuition, fees, and tools for students enrolled in both the UAA Diesel Tech and UAF Diesel and Heavy Equipment programs.
"The Lynden Family of Companies is proud to support the University of Alaska workforce development programs. We are committed to assisting and developing the next generation of Alaska’s valued industry professionals," says Anna Deal, representative for Lynden. "We hope these scholarships will help give local students an opportunity to be mechanics and to pursue a career in heavy equipment."
Students must first apply and enroll in either the University of Alaska Fairbanks Heavy Equipment Certificate Program or University of Alaska Anchorage Diesel Technician Program. They can then apply using the UAF General Scholarship Application or the UAA Foundation Scholarship Application. The application deadline for both scholarships is July 15.
Lynden also endowed a Mechanic and CDL scholarship through the Kennewick School District’s Tri-Tech Skills Center in Washington.
