In a show of support, LTI, Inc. drivers from Idaho and Oregon traveled to Alaska for several weeks during fish season to assist with truck deliveries during the annual rush period. “We gave drivers the opportunity to help in Alaska,” says Gordy Sant, LTI, Inc. Idaho Operations Manager. “It was a chance for them to see first-hand how other Lynden companies operate in other markets. They also saw that the high quality of Lynden employees is system-wide.” The conversation started at an Everyday Hero event when Gordy commented to Chairman Jim Jansen and LTI, Inc. President Eric Badger that LTI, Inc. drivers would be willing to travel to Alaska to assist with projects. After a few meetings, LTI, Inc. drivers were on their way to Alaska to assist with deliveries in Ketchikan, Juneau, Valdez, Petersburg, Cordova and Dutch Harbor.

“We were able to provide good people and do good work that proves that Lynden teamwork has great benefits for customers and employees,” Gordy says. “It took everyone from operations to administration to human resources to pull this off. A special thanks to our Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Idaho leadership, dispatchers, and especially our drivers.”

Oregon drivers included Bill Dye, Justin Treasure, Robert Samsel, Zachariah Weems, Mike Szabo and Travis Rust. Idaho drivers were David Clausen, Randy Day, Randy Bender, Mike Bettleyon, Mark Horrocks, Jeremy Watson and Josh Smith.
