Neal Scott, Site Superintendent at Knik Construction
Behind every successful remote project is a solid camp — and for years, Neal Scott has been the guy making that happen. His experience setting up & tearing down man camps across Alaska is second to none. This season, Neal teamed up with Gux Laraux and Jeffery Wiseman to tackle the tough job of mobilizing camps, battling tight barge landings, limited space for foundations, and transporting 40' containers through narrow village roads.
One of the most critical tools? The RTCH. This machine is the backbone of camp
set-up — lifting, moving, and placing containers with precision. Without it, life's more challenging in tight spaces, especially in remote villages where roads and staging areas are limited. Once those containers are set, it’s all about getting power, water, and plumbing correctly online. A big thanks to Taco Esquibel for always having the containers set for projects out of Bethel. Neal, your years of dedication and expertise keep these projects moving, we appreciate you. Project success starts with the crew that sets up the camp and they crushed it once again.
